Our Curriculum
Our curriculum breaks down the journey to school readiness into what we feel a child may do at each step of their development journey
Our Curriculum
At Little Nest we feel it is important to look at the individual child and their needs. We have a bespoke curriculum that we have curated from various Early Years Frameworks.
Our curriculum breaks down the journey to school readiness into what a child may do at each step of their development journey.
Beyond the educational goals, it also has aspects of becoming respectful, independent and curious little people!

Our Educational Approach
Our continuous provision (the learning environment) is of high quality. It is equipped with areas of challenge, curiosity and fun! We enhance our continuous provision with further activities.
Our skilled practitioners set out activities the children may wish to explore or plan in the moment, thinking about the children, their interests and their developmental path.
Our approach is all about knowing the children and their needs extremely well.
A child’s day at Little Nest is filled with learning opportunities without them even knowing it!
Enhancing our Curriculum
Throughout the week, our already unique curriculum is enhanced even further. As part of the parental contribution, Little Nest children have the opportunity to participate in groups from 1st Touch Football, Absolute Tennis and The Tutu Club as well as visits to our local area such as the woodland, creek area, field and park.
NB: If you choose to opt out of the parental contribution, this will create stipulations as to when your child can attend in respect of our enhanced curriculum sessions

1st TOUCH FOOTBALL
1st Touch Football are visiting Little Nest to provide ball skills, team games and movement workshops for the children once a week.

TUTU CLUB
The Tutu Club are holding dance and movement sessions for Little Nest Children, these sessions are based around a theme or a story that we intertwine into our planning.

LOCAL AREAS
We are so lucky to have a wide range of local areas for our children to experience such as throwing stones into the water at the creek, tree climbing in the woods, fun in the park, games on the field and collecting tadpoles in the pond!

ABSOLUTE TENNIS
We use the Burridge Tennis Courts to hold weekly tennis lesson with a teacher from Absolute Tennis!
